The Highland Park Scots went to Houston to see if the state wide hype about their team is for real.  In the first two games the Scots dominated both Clear Lake and ESD (Houston) outscoring them a combined score of 31-6.  In the third game of the day the Scots faced a very physical Friendswood team and ended up having to kill the clock in the fourth quarter to hold onto a 5-4 victory. The Scots learned a valuable lesson this weekend and that is there are other teams that are just as athletic as they are and they better be ready all season for teams to be gunning for them.  We will see if this group of young men are up to the challenge. This could be a special year for the Blue and Gold Scotties but the title will not be handed to them on a silver platter. Friendswood (last year a D2 team) proved that in convincing fashion.
