Dear Highland Park Lacrosse Parents, Players and Fans,

Congratulations to all of the Highland Park Lacrosse teams on a great 2013-14 Season.  A sincere thank you to all of the Coaches, Parents and Volunteers who supported Highland Park Boys Lacrosse this past year.  Your hard work, time and contributions are greatly appreciated.

In terms of this past year, we have seen many positive improvements within our club and the leagues we play in.  It is my hope that we build upon the foundational work we have accomplished. 

Summer time lacrosse is in full swing and our HP Select teams are performing very well.  At the Texas Draw Tournament, HP won the 2018, 2021, and 2023 divisions and at the National Denver Shootout Tournament our 2018 team brought the cup home to Texas!  Way to go boys!  The future is very bright for our club because together we are strong.

Other good news to share is an exciting new partnership with Nike where Highland Park Boys Lacrosse and Nike have agreed to a three year sponsorship!   Nike responded to our clubs proposal with an outstanding sponsorship and this is a great win for our club.  We appreciate the brands support and look forward to proudly wearing the Nike logo.   By partnering with such a strong brand Highland Park Boys Lacrosse is poised to be nationally recognized as a premier lacrosse club.  Details regarding the sponsorship will be forthcoming.  We look forward to sharing this with the HP Lacrosse community.

I am also happy to announce that the HP Lacrosse Board is now comprised of representatives from every age group and we have a full board of nine (9) volunteers.  New to the board is Deanne Brock (Treasurer), Ben Cook (Bantam Director), Rick Kneese (Fields Director), Brad Selner (DFWL/THSLL Director), and Stacy Smith (Fund Raising Director).   We are so thankful to them for volunteering their time to serve the club.  A full list of the board members can be found on our website.   Please feel free to reach out to one of us if you have any questions from the board level. 

We want to remind everyone that Highland Park Boys Lacrosse is YOUR club and designed  to serve all of us by providing a positive and winning environment for all families involved.  Without the support of Highland Park parents and your participation we could not do this.  What has been built over the years is an organization that is the standard for excellence not only in the State of Texas but the entire southern United States.  I say this to encourage you to stay plugged in, positive, and supportive of the club and its efforts to strive to continue our winning tradition. 

Looking ahead, as teams are developed next year please consider volunteering to be a team Mom or Dad, help set up the fields, make up roster sheets, share photos, or even become a bantam coach.  Just like anything else in life the more you put into something the more you get out of it.  It is so rewarding to serve these young men and help provide them with fantastic memories associated to lacrosse.

If you simply don't have time to get involved consider supporting the club financially by making a tax deductable donation to Highland Park Boys Lacrosse.  We have plans to improve our Southwest Fields, incorporate box lacrosse, and most importantly hire and retain coaches.  All of these improvements are above and beyond our current budget and we will need additional funds to accomplish these goals.   Additional details will be sent to the Highland Park community in the coming weeks so be on the lookout for ways to donate and support our club.

One final note, I want to encourage everyone to join our Facebook and Twitter accounts.  It's a great way to see what is happening within the club and stay informed.  Also, keep checking our website for important dates and information concerning the club.
