HP Youth Lacrosse Begins Saturday Feb. 2

IMPORTANT: HP Youth Lacrosse Grades 5-8 SPRING LACROSSE 2013

Parents – we are excited to start the 2013 season! This spring we will have 4 teams at 7/8 grade and 4 teams at 5/6 grade. The teams will be separated as they were in the fall into A,B,C, and D teams with one championship level team and three competitive level teams for both 5/6 and 7/8. We will go through a short evaluation period during the first few practice sessions to divide the boys into their teams again. This system allows for us to schedule games with teams of similar skill levels and allows the coaches to teach and instruct kids of the same skill levels. We have found that this works best for each individual player’s ongoing development. Games may be played during practice times or on the weekends. Home games will be at McCulloch Intermediate School (MIS) or at our Southwest (SW) fields (maps can be found on our website at www.highlandparklacrosse.org/maps). We expect each team to have at least 10 games this season but no more than 12 this season per NTYLL rules. Your coaches will communicate to you primarily through email and each team will have a team mom to help with coordination and communication.

7/8 Grade Weekly Practice Schedule (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday):
Practice begins Saturday, February 2 from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at SW
(note: date change due to Super Bowl on Sunday, February 3; Sunday practices resume February 10 at SW)
Weekday practices begin Monday, February 4

Mondays and Wednesdays 4:45 – 6:00 p.m. at MIS
Sundays 1:00-3:00 p.m. at SW

5/6 Grade Weekly Practice Schedule (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday):
Practice begins Saturday, February 2 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at SW
(note: date change due to Super Bowl on Sunday, February 3; Sunday practices resume February 10 at SW)
Weekday practices begin Tuesday, February 5

Tuesday and Thursdays 4:45-6:00 p.m. at MIS
Sundays 4:00-6:00 p.m. at SW

For both levels, games begin weekend of February 16th end no later than May 5. We will not play any games during the spring break nor the weekend before or after spring break.

All players must be registered with the NTYLL before they can play. Please register your son at: http://www.uslacrossentx.org/Registration/Default.asp?n=32559&snid=dJOJ%.... Click on Spring 2013 Player Registration to begin. Rosters (when teams are formed) and game schedules will be available on this site so please bookmark it.
