The first year of HP Select is up and running with great success.  The season started in May with five of our teams participating in the Wounded Warrior Playday in Frisco.  Also in May, HP Select hosted several other select programs at our own Playday and both MIS and Southwest were overflowing with excellent lacrosse. 
This past weekend, HP Select played in their first official tournament, the Texas Draw that drew hundreds of Select teams from all over the southwest.  Our youngest Highland Park players decided they wanted to enter into the HP Select excitement and jumped onto the bandwagon with a U9 team joining our two U11, two U13 and one U15 teams.  To top the weekend off our U15 team emerged victorious and as the Champions of the A Bracket after beating several undefeated teams and winning the final match against TNT in triple overtime!!!  Their victory earned them a spot in a national championship tournament to be played in Florida in November.
It's on to the 3D Denver Shootout in two weeks.  Congrats to all of our amazing HP Select teams!  Tryouts for next year will be in August or September so plan to join in and help take Highland Park Lacrosse to the National level!
