It’s time to register with the North Texas Youth Lacrosse League if you did not in the fall!

THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT TO PLAY! The league will be conducting roster checks so it's imperative to register before Wednesday the 15th!

· Please register with the NTYLL for the spring 2012 season! The North Texas Youth Lacrosse League requires all participants in grades 1-8 to register for free. This is a requirement for all players before games can be played. You will need your sons US Lacrosse membership information to register. About Bantam Spring Lacrosse

Highland Park Boys Lacrosse Fall Bantam League (1/2 grade level and 3/4 grade level):

The goal and emphasis of the Bantam league is fun and development, not winning. Games are played using a modified format and scores are NOT kept. In the Bantam league, coaches introduce young HP boys to the game of lacrosse in hopes that they enjoy it and stick with it!

Teams

PLEASE NOTE: 1/2 players are grouped on teams by school to the best of our ability depending on the numbers; 3/4 teams are not formed according to school so players will be grouped with other players in the HPISD to help prepare them for youth lacrosse. Teams will change each fall and spring season.

If you are new to the sport or planning on buying a new helmet please make sure you buy a navy helmet as our decals are white. We do not require that your son wear a navy helmet in the Bantam program but once you get to the Youth level it will be required.

HP Skills Clinic for Team Formation – Saturday February 4th at MIS
· 1st and 2nd Graders 1:00-2:30pm at MIS
· 3rd and 4th Graders 3:00-4:30pm at MIS

Team Assignments – You should hear from your coach by February 10th
· Reminder: 3rd /4th Grades teams are MIXED based on skill levels AND all teams will be reshuffled from the fall season.

First Week of Practices – February 13th – February 17th
· Your coach determines practice times and location

First Weekend of Games – February 18th and 19th
Last Weekend of Games – April 28th and 29th

Bantam Parents –

Can you believe it! We are already ramping up for the 2012 Spring lacrosse season. This year spring we have already broken all registration records once again and it is something that is not insignificant. Even on the East Coast where lacrosse dominates they do not have the numbers we have within their Bantam programs. We have together established one of the best feeder programs in the country and I am not exaggerating in saying that. Thank you for getting your kiddo plugged into the Greatest Sport for Little Boys!

The HP Lacrosse 2012 Winter Warm-up Camp will be held on Saturday, January 28 from 2:00-4:30PM and Sunday, January 29 from 12:00-2:00PM for boys entering grades 1-8.

HP Boys lacrosse supports the participation in select lacrosse programs for the players that choose to participate in those programs, as long as those select programs do not interfere with their obligations as a member of their particular HP Boys Lacrosse team. This policy pertains to spring, summer and fall HP Lacrosse obligations. HP Boys Lacrosse DOES NOT endorse any one particular select lacrosse program in the area, regardless of any of its coaching staff’s connections with such programs. In NO WAY will any HP Boys Lacrosse player be given any special treatment or consideration based upon his participation in a select program involving current, past or future HP coaches. This policy also pertains to private lessons, camps, clinics and the like. HP Boys Lacrosse will continue to disseminate information from various programs for the benefit of its players from time to time, but this is for informational purposes only and the dissemination of any particular select program marketing material (or the absence thereof) in no way suggests an opinion of the HP Boys Lacrosse program, positive or negative.
