IMPORTANT DATES
Parents – we are excited to start the 2012 season! This spring we will have 3 teams at 7/8 grade and 5 teams at 5/6 grade again. The teams will be separated as they were in the fall into A,B,C,and D teams. We will go through a short evaluation period during the first few practice sessions to divide the boys into their teams again. This system allows for us to schedule games with teams of similar skill levels and allows the coaches to teach and instruct kids of the same skill levels – we have found that this works best for each individual player’s ongoing development. Games may be played during practice times or on the weekends. Home games will be at MIS or at SW fields. We expect to each team to have at least 10 games this season but no more than 14 this year. Your coaches will communicate to you primarily through email and each team will have a team mom to help with coordination and communication.
7/8 grade Practice Starts Monday January 30 – Mondays/Wednesdays 4:45 – 6pm at MIS, Sundays 2-4pm at SW
5/6 grade practice starts Tuesday January 31 – Tues/Thurs 4:45-6pm at MIS, Sundays 4-6pm at MIS
- after teams are chosen 5/6 A, B teams will hold practices at SW at the same times and C1, C2 and D teams will stay at MIS
For both levels, games begin week of February 19th through April 28th for Championship Division and May 5th for Competitive Division. We will not play any games during the spring break nor the weekend before or after spring break.
Our registration is overbooked again this season and we have a wait list at both levels. You will be notified shortly if you are on the wait list – spots will open up as boys drop out and wait listed players will be notified in the order in which they completed registration and payment.
Please notify Beth Lee with any questions.
Thank you

Dear Parents and Friends of Highland Park Boys Lacrosse,
It is that time of year again! We have successfully completed our fall lacrosse programs and are quickly gearing up for our 16th season of Fighting Scot Lacrosse. Our 600 players and coaches have worked hard over this past summer and fall, continuing to develop their skills and prepare for our 2012 season.
It is the mission of the Highland Park Boys Lacrosse Club to provide a fun, safe and instructive lacrosse program for our Bantam and Youth boys, so they are able to develop and achieve success as a member of one of our highly competitive High School teams. All of our players must reside in the Highland Park Independent School District. In order to be a successful program, the voluntary board is faced with many administrative and organizational duties and must raise significant funds to help pay for fields, equipment, and coaches. The Lacrosse Club depends on financial support from our lacrosse families, friends and corporate sponsors to help us maintain our position as the premier lacrosse program in Texas.
Highland Park Boys Lacrosse, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization
